Today I visited Burgatory, which is a great name for a Burger place. At the time of my visit the restaurant was really empty, which was too bad because the service was great and so was the vibe.

Envy Burger from Burgatory

The menu is pretty cool, since all their burgers are named after the Seven Deadly Sins.

Typically when I visit a new burger restaurant I ask which burger is the most popular choice and get that, but this time greed and envy both stood out to me. I decided that the combination of fried egg, tomato jam, guacamole and tortilla chips would be interesting to try on a burger, so I went with the Envy Burger.

I made it a combo and was asked whether I wanted sea salt, cajun, or parmesan and truffle oil. Who could say no to parmesan and truffle oil?

The burger was absolutely incredible. The patty was tight enough and not overcooked, and the combination of the tomato jam and guacamole was delicious, and breaking the yolk of the egg was only messy for a single bite, it stayed in the burger fairly well.

The problem came with the parmesan and truffle oil fries, which were also very flavourful. The first 5 fries were delicious, but after a few I had a hard time eating more. It almost became a burden to consider that Iโ€™d have to finish all the fries, so much so that it distracted me from enjoying me the rest of the burger.

All in all, this place is great (Iโ€™ve had their Sloth Burger before via Uber Eats) and they nail the burgers. I would highly recommend visiting Burgatory, but refraining from taking the parmesan and truffle oil fries unless youโ€™re a really big fan of either truffle oil or parmesan.
